For those of us who are still trying to keep our New Years resolutions on game day I shared a lighter snack. Greek inspired turkey burgers are packed with flavor, not calories! I was happy to share this recipe on WFMZ-TV in Allentown, PA!

Greek Turkey Burger Sliders

  • non stick cooking spray

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey

  • 1/3 c kalamata olive tapenade

  • 2 Tbsp garlic, minced

  • 2 Tbsp dried oregano

  • 1 cucumber, sliced

  • 2 c baby spinach

  • 12 slider buns

  • salt

  • pepper

  • 1 c greek yogurt plain

  • 1 Tbsp dill

  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  1. In a large bowl mix the turkey meat, oregano, salt, pepper, garlic, and olive tapenade. The best way is to use your hands!

  2. Shape the mixture into 12 small patties. About as big as the inside of the palm of your hand, maybe even a little smaller. They should be about a 1/2 inch thick.

  3. Prepare a grill pan with cooking spray and heat over med-high heat. Grill the patties for about 6-8 minutes each. About 3 minutes on each side. Transfer them to a plate

  4. Spoon some of the yogurt sauce onto the top part of the slider bun, and layer a cucumber slice (or two) on the bottom part of the bun, then layer some spinach leaves on top.
