Best Cheesy Bread Recipe

cheesy bread

Finally upgraded my Cheesy Bread recipe! I thought it couldn’t get any better, but I was wrong! I added in some Sweet Pickled Jalapeno’s I found at Trader Joes and really scored. Pun intended, of course. This easy appetizer has a cheesy and garlicky bite that will have this dish disappearing before kick-off.

It is super easy to make! You can make it ahead, and freeze it. Thaw it out before popping it in the oven! Or maybe you just want to make the spread the day before and keep it in the fridge until you are ready to go!

Cheesy Bread

ingredients

  • 1/2 stick of unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/4 cup mayo

  • 2 tbsp sour cream

  • 12 oz shredded cheese ( I use a mix of mozzarella and cheddar)

  • 1/4 cup trader joes hot and sweet jalapenos, roughly chopped

  • 1 french baguette or loaf of Italian bread

instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. In a small bowl mix together the butter and garlic with a hand mixer until smooth.

  3. Then add in your mayo and sour cream. Mix to incorporate.

  4. Gently fold in the cheese, then the jalapenos until well combined.

  5. Cut the bread in half, horizontally and lay on a baking sheet lined with foil, cut side up.

  6. Spread the cheese mixture onto the bread and put into the oven for 10 minutes. After ten minutes turn on your broiler and watch for the cheese to start to bubble and slightly brown.

  7. Remove from the oven and let it sit for a couple of minutes before you slice it.
