Siena's Bluey Birthday

I am a HUGE sucker for a theme party. I am not going to lie, I probably go overboard. However, everyone has not only a good time, but a memorable one. I do budget and save for it, because it is something I love to do. Etsy is ALWAYS my best friend, I am pretty sure I always find her birthday outfit in one of the shops.

This year we went with the Bluey cartoon theme. Our whole family loves watching Bluey, even the adults! We identify with the family in so many ways and find the show hilarious. Bluey is a cartoon that originated in Australia, it is fairly new to the US. Finding party supplies is impossible at the moment, in stores. Target does sell some Bluey toys, but not much. However, between Etsy and Amazon I pieced it together. I will say I ordered a Bluey party package from Amazon and um, well….it was garbage haha! The package included Sonic the Hedgehog cups, and really cheap decorations haha! So you have to be careful. But below are some links to some products I can recommend!

Bluey Dress- This dress came from an Etsy shop called, “Born This Way Boutique.” It shipped super quick and the material is so soft!

Bluey Thank You Cards- I pre-printed thank you cards with a personalized message and put them into the kids goodie bags. It is a nice way to make sure you do not forget to send out thank you cards!

Editable Food Tent Cards- I love finding printables and editable signs on Etsy. I am not design inclined so paying a couple of bucks for a template is worth it to me! I feel like the fun food/drink names adds to the fun.

Sticky Gecko Game- If you know, you KNOW! Sticky gecko’s are toys that Bluey and Bingo play with. I found this printable target on Etsy, of course. Then found the sticky gecko’s on amazon!

BLuey Birthday Sign- So this is a splurge, but I can’t help it. I end up ordering or making some kid of large background every year. I feel like it anchors the party and is always the main event. I put it behind the cake table, it makes pictures turn out nice. I make it the focal point and I am never sorry I did it!

Bluey Happy Birthday Sign - It is hard to find Bluey decor in the US. I didn’t find anything in stores so I had to rely on a color scheme, etsy, and amazon. This was well made and easy to hang.

Bluey Balloons- I ordered a couple of these balloon bouquets which allowed me to decorate most of the yard. Again, I couldn’t find BLuey balloons in store!

Other little touches for the party included a couple of themed games. Of course the sticky gecko game listed above. I also did a Rita’s BEAN bag toss, inspired by the grannies episode. Then I did get the ball in the Dunney, which is toilet in Bluey lingo. It was super hot so after dinner we had an epic water fight complete with water balloons, and water guns. NO ONE was safe, and even the adults got into it.

I had fun making themed drinks. Bluey’s lemonade was fresh lemonade with the tinest pinch of blue food coloring. Chili’s juice was a strawberry rose sangria, especially for my mommy friends. Then Bandits Brew was a spiked Arnold Palmer for all the cool dads out there haha! Other fun food ideas would be including “sausages” maybe in the form of sausage and peppers. And of course “the salad” which sounds basic, but Bingo thinks the salads are a big deal. If you watch a couple of Bluey episodes, you will catch on to all of this!

The sky is the limit to all of the games and themed food you can think of when it comes to Bluey. The whole cartoon is built on the amazing imagination the family has. Pick out your families favorite Bluey moments when planning your party!
