Pool & Beach Kit with Fairy Tales Hair Care

Bringing kiddos to the beach or pool can be the best part of summer. However, it can also be one of the most stressful! We all know to bring sunscreen, water, and do not forget the snacks! However, I have started to carry a couple of offbeat items for some of those annoying situations. Such as chlorine stinging the eyes, knotted up hair, or sand stuck to a little one that just isn’t having it! Below are a couple of items i found handy to have on hand. The kit was inspired by our favorite swim bag essentials, Fairy Tales Hair Care Sun and Swim line.

Knotted up Hair- I alway spray Siena's hair with the Coco Cabana After Sun Spray when she gets out of the pool, whether it's from a swim lesson or a long summer's day of swimming. I also spray her hair before she gets in the water for some added protection. Another plus, is it works for my hair as well!

It is color safe, so I spray it in my hair as well! There are no toxic or harsh chemicals. It has citrus peel oil, pineapple extract, aloe, and banana leaf. also will wash her hair with the Clarifying shampoo once a week during the summer to help keep her blonde hair from getting that green tinge to it. It helps to remove the chlorine and restore moisture. Find out more about how specially formulated swim shampoo benefits your child check out this article: Mom's Guide to Kids Swim Shampoo.

Sunscreen + The Face- Using a beauty blender or these cotton pads has helped me get sunscreen on Siena’s face evenly and without much complaining. Its softer than my fingers trying to rub it, also works well for the neck and behind the ears!

Clean Wash Cloth- How many times has a child complained about salt or chlorine water stinging their eyes? Or had sand in their eyes? By that time everything you brought to the beach has sand on it, including your hands. Having a clean washcloth has been a lifesaver. Typically I wet it at home, put it in plastic ziploc. You could also wet it with bottled water at the beach, but who wants to waste that? It has come through as relief for eyes that are stinging from sand or sunscreen. Same goes for having some q-tips on hand!

Makeup Brush & Baby Powder - No you are not going to be reapplying your blush or bronzer. When your little comes up to you unable to get the sand off their hands, face, or the bottom of their feet this works! Brushes the sand right off without scratching them with a towel. Also, baby powder works wonders here as well!

Scalp Sunscreen- Siena has fair skin and hair. Wearing a hat isn’t always option for various reasons. Clumping sunscreen into her head hasn’t proved useful either. Finding a scalp mist has kept her hair like from burning, my husband uses this as well!

Below are some other fun finds that have made our beach days more enjoyable. The hit of the summer last year was the mesh shell bags I bought the girls for our beach trip! They had a blast filling up their bags each day. I loved that I had a place besides the bottom of my beach bag to collect the shells. Also, the goggles that that do not pull the hair also make putting on goggles a lot easier!
